I have 3 cores, 1 I believe is an M38, the other 2 M38A1 and need some help identifying for sure.
1) Has a number of 9917 stamped on the mounting flange. 2) Has number 4260 stamped on the mounting flange (both) and hand levers (1 is missing)

Unit #1 M-38A1 Units #'s 2 & 3, M-38
The primer handle was deleted for the A1. Many A1s' had a dash-mounted pull-push primer.
All are rebuildable. Handles are available.

Yes. About $75 for the M-38 and about $65 for each A1. I can handle that rebuild.

I have 3 of those, but none with handles. 2-M38, one A1. I had trouble with one on my M38 that leaked past the check valves. Altitude will bring out the worst with them. Mike's FCT was my introduction to altitude. His ranch is low home base at 8000 feet. The M38 series of waterproof Jeeps are another ball of wax to learn about. Military Jeeps in general have some very innovative things about them when compared to civi Jeeps. Amphibious assaults with water problems started the M38 designs. Crafty devils-----
