Has anyone ever treated (soaking etc) or used a sealant on the W0 gaskets during a rebuild?

Sealants are not recommended except in certain circumstances. IF the fuel inlet port threads are worn, a couple of wraps of Teflon Tape will help seal it. The old books recommended soaking gaskets in kerosene, but that practice fell out of favor when gasket material got to be of a better quality. If the surface that is supposed to be sealed is deeply scratched, it can be addressed with a Dremel Tool to remove the scratch.
